Having no routine or structure is so much more draining mentally, physically, and emotionally than any routine could ever be!. After the lengthy lockdown, most sleeping patterns are destroyed which could make you even more drained hence why we think strategizing will be ideal before heading back to work.
1. Mentally prepare yourself:
Tell yourself what you need to achieve. For example, It can be waking up at 5 am to head to work, set an alarm & train your mind to wake up at 5 even if you are not going to work. This way, you will be one step closer to getting back into a routine.
2. Stay positive:
Positive thinking helps manage stress & might even improve your overall health.
Start every day by saying a positive thought OUT LOUD. For example “Today is going to be the best day ever!”
3. Mentally prepare & visualize your success:
Simply close your eyes & imagine yourself being the best you that you can be.
Or even write down your tasks & next to them, the outcome you want to achieve.
4. Make a to-do list:
As simple as this seems, it actually really helps! Write down what you need to do for the day & tick them off as & when you’ve accomplished a task.
5. Take regular breaks throughout the day & remind yourself of what a good job you are currently doing!
These tips could help you get back into a routine if you follow it & keep it as a guideline as to what needs to be done, what has been done & what hasn’t. If you keep at this structure, your routine should go back to normal in no time at all!
